This page is part of the Respiratory Virus Hospitalization Surveillance Network (RESP-NET) Content Implementation Guide (v1.0.0-ballot: STU1 Ballot 1) based on FHIR (HL7® FHIR® Standard) R4. . For a full list of available versions, see the Directory of published versions
This page provides a list of the FHIR artifacts defined as part of this implementation guide.
The following artifacts define the specific capabilities that different types of systems are expected to have in order to comply with this implementation guide. Systems conforming to this implementation guide are expected to declare conformance to one or more of the following capability statements.
RESP-NET EHR Capability Statement |
This profile defines the expected capabilities of the ‘‘EHR’’ actor when conforming to the RESP-NET Content Implementation Guide. This role is responsible for allowing creation, modification and deletion of Subscriptions and allows searching and retrieval of resources using US Core APIs. |
These define constraints on FHIR resources for systems conforming to this implementation guide.
RESP-NET Composition |
This Composition profile is used to organize the RESP-NET report content. |
RESP-NET Content Bundle |
Bundle Resource profile for RESP-NET report content. This bundle is always part of the RESP-NET Reporting Bundle and organizes the information using a Composition resource and will contain all the resources referenced from a Composition resource. |
RESP-NET PlanDefinition |
This PlanDefinition profile defines the logic and rules around determining: whether or not data from an encounter is reportable to RESP-NET. |
RESP-NET Reporting Bundle |
Bundle Resource profile for exchanging RESP-NET report. This bundle contains the MessageHeader resource used for routing and the RESP-NET Content Bundle specifying the content. |
RESPNETMedicationStatement |
This is the MedicationStatement Resource profile for the IG. |
US Public Health Patient |
This Patient profile represents a US Public Health Patient. This profile is present in the IG to synchronize with common Patient profile being developed by public health profiles library IG. This profile is being used by the RESP-NET Patient profile. Implementers of the IG are expected to implement only the RESP-NET Patient profile. It is based on the US Core Patient profile with further restrictions to allow masking of some data elements and the addition of the patient-genderIdentity extension. For ONC’s USCDI requirements, it adds Must Support constraints to the following:
