  1. A manufacturer publishes its catalog of medical devices. Healthcare providers and organizations access this catalog to retrieve all the details of the devices they are using or intend to purchase.
  2. LIVD IG A manufacturer of in vitro diagnostic devices shares with its customers its catalog of analyzers providing for each analyzer the suggested mappings of its proprietary test result codes to LOINC.
  3. A content vendor publishes the general catalog of medical devices authorized to a national market.
