Clinical Quality Language has been in use for many years as part of the structured, computable representation of decision support rules. In particular, the FHIR Clinical Reasoning module establishes guidance for the general representation of event-condition-action rules that can be utilized via service APIs such as CDS Hooks. Decision support rules for use in the US Realm can make use of content from this implementation guide as these patterns and libraries are refined through implementation experience.
