<p>Histologic types of breast carcinomas, including invasive carcinoma and ductal carcinoma in situ. Codes are drawn from SNOMED CT; local codes are used where SNOMED CT codes are unavailable.
The codes are intended to match the scope of breast carcinoma histologic types specified in ICD-O-3. Additional SNOMED CT codes may be appropriate to include in this value set. We are requesting feedback on the perceived need to request SNOMED CT codes to represent the histologic types currently represented by local codes.</p>
