"An enumeration defines a set of literals that can beused as its values" UML Infrastructure, Version 2.3, Section 10.3.2. Because enumeration is a built in part of the UML meta model, the \guillemotleft enumeration \guillemotright ~stereotype is used to represent them in the UML rendering.
