Defines the basic properties of every data value. This is an abstract type, meaning that no value can be just a data value without belonging to any concrete type. Every concrete type is a specialization of this general abstract DataValue type.

??.??.1 Scope and Usage

This defines a FHIR profile of the HL7 V3 ANY data type for CDA itself (the HL7 V3 RIM-based standard). Uses to be evaluated. This is not intended to be part of C-CDA on FHIR but is currently published here until we find a good home for it.
