This is a frozen snapshot of the FHIR specification created for the purpose of balloting the GAO implementation Guide. It includes draft changes that may be part of the future DSTU 2.1 release but further change is expected. Readers should focus solely on the GAO implementation content, and FHIR DSTU 2 for other purposes.

5.4.12.1 Content

Extensions:
practitioner-classification	Classification of the provider : The more specific service or occupation within the health care provider type of the practitioner at a specific organization unit, for example, counselor.
practitioner-primaryInd	Indicator of primary specialty : Flag indicating if the specialty is the primary specialty of the provider. Normally, a practitioner will have one primary specialty, but in some cases more than one can be primary.
practitioner-animalSpecies	The Species of the Service Animal : This extension should be used to specifiy that a practioner or RelatedPerson resource is a service animal.
