These codes are used in the follow places:

| testing | This profile was authored for testing purposes (or education/evaluation/marketing) | |
| review | This profile is undergoing review to check that it is ready for production use | |
| production | This profile is ready for use in production systems | |
| withdrawn | This profile has been withdrawn and should no longer be used | |
| superseded | This profile has been superseded by a more recent version | |
