description	The US Core Smoking Status Observation Profile is based upon the core FHIR Observation Resource and implements the U.S. Core Data for Interoperability (USCDI) v2 Smoking status' requirements. This profile sets minimum expectations for the Observation resource to record, search, and fetch smoking status data associated with a patient to promote interoperability and adoption through common implementation. It identifies which core elements, extensions, vocabularies, and value sets **SHALL** be present in the resource when using this profile. It provides the floor for standards development for specific use cases.	Details about a set of changes in the tested sample compared to a reference sequence. The term variant can be used to describe an alteration that may be benign, pathogenic, or of unknown significance. The term variant is increasingly being used in place of the term mutation.
