Event Info
FHIR Tutorials and Hands-on Sessions
FHIR DevDays is an event for IT professionals in healthcare – whether new to FHIR or with previous experience – to learn about FHIR in a collaborative environment. FHIR DevDays offers a chance to work with the specification surrounded by others doing the same thing, side by side with experts to answer any questions. The three pillars for DevDays are: education, sharing of ideas and networking.
Education
The FHIR Core Team, as well as other FHIR experts, will be present to deliver tutorials, guide the hands-on sessions and work one on one with attendees to discuss issues.
Keynotes and Lectures
A limited number of lectures (not too much talking please!) by renowned interoperability experts shed a light on the context and future of FHIR.
Social Event
One of the highlights of DevDays: the social event. We dive into the Boston nightlife for some distraction and a dinner downtown. A great oppportunity to catch up with your FHIR friends and make new ones!
Join us for a taste of Boston night life Wednesday evening! We are heading over to Lucky Strike Social, an area staple located behind Fenway Park, where you can drink, eat, and socialize with colleagues and friends! Hang out in the brewery and play ping pong, billiards, or maybe even shuffleboard. And, there is plenty of action available in the high-tech game room and 16-lane bowling alley. You won't want to miss it!
HL7 will provide transportation to Lucky Strike Social. After the event you are free to keep the party going or make your way back to your hotel to prepare for day three of FHIR DevDays!
Networking
The 'User Community' track offers a platform for sharing of implementation experiences and best practices in a series of presentations. The venue set-up and social event provide the opportunity to get to know others who have the same challenges that you are facing.
Meals
Lunch is provided Tuesday - Thursday. Dinner will be provided on Tuesday and Wednesday evening. Coffee, tea, and water will be available throughtout the day. Breakfast will NOT be provided. All attendees that want breakfast should eat before going to the State Room venue.
