Logical Model: INT - Detailed Descriptions

Active as of 2023-01-16

Definitions for the INT logical model.

Guidance on how to interpret the contents of this table can be found here.

1. INT
Definition

Integer numbers (-1,0,1,2, 100, 3398129, etc.) are precise numbers that are results of counting and enumerating. Integer numbers are discrete, the set of integers is infinite but countable. No arbitrary limit is imposed on the range of integer numbers. Two NULL flavors are defined for the positive and negative infinity.

Control1..*
XML RepresentationIn the XML format, this property has the namespace urn:hl7-org:v3.
2. INT.value
Control0..1
Typeinteger
XML RepresentationIn the XML format, this property is represented as an attribute.

Base definition for all types defined in FHIR type system.

Definition

If a value is an exceptional value (NULL-value), this specifies in what way and why proper information is missing.
